Here’s a summary of this week’s UK weather 🧐 . ⬇️ This Evening and Tonight ⬇️ A wet and windy night across many northern and western parts of the UK, with the rain heavy over western upslopes. Mostly dry elsewhere with some clear spells but for many it will be a milder night than of late. . ⬇️Wednesday⬇️ Outbreaks of rain will continue in the north and west, with winds remaining strong. Mostly dry across the south and east, with some sunny spells and feeling mild. . ⬇️ Outlook for Thursday to Saturday ⬇️ Mainly dry with sunny spells for many throughout the period, although the northwest remaining changeable with some rain at times. Feeling very mild for most, especially on Friday and Saturday.Temperatures are on the rise this week 🌡 . Most of us will enjoy warmer temperatures by the weekend - one or two spots could even reach around 18 °C! . . . #springiscoming #loveukweather☀️ What a beautiful day, it’s also the warmest day of the year so far 🌡 . . . #loveukweather #wintersun #satelliteIt was a 🌫 foggy 🌫 start for some of us this morning – especially in the south of England. . The fog is now clearing and the rest of Friday is expected to be sunny for the vast majority! . Out of the wind and in the sunshine, it will feel spring-like as temperatures climb widely into the teens by the afternoon. Today’s hotspots will be Northern parts of Cornwall, Devon and Wales with highs of 16 Celsius in places. It will be windier, cloudier and cooler in Western Scotland and Northern Ireland. . Saturday will be dry again for most of us but there’ll be more cloud – especially in the south of England and Wales. Sunny spells will continue further north. . On Sunday, it will be windy in the west with some rain. In the east, after a sunny start, it will turn cloudier through the day but stay dry. It won’t be as mild as today but temperatures will remain above average for mid-February. . 🙏🏻 to @simplytomrice for letting us share his foggy photo of Exeter canal. . . . #fog #mist #foggy #loveukweather #photography #igdaily #photooftheday❤️ L O V E I S I N T H E A I R ❤️ . Or is it fog 🧐 . ⬇️ T O D A Y ⬇️ A sunny day in England and Wales after any early mist and fog clears. Cloudier skies at first in northern areas with patchy rain and drizzle over the hills, although gradually turning brighter through the day. Mild for most.❤️ It’s going to be a warm Valentine’s Day for much of the UK tomorrow ❤️. . We could reach 16C in northern Scotland and many places will get to 12 or 13C – which is well above the average for mid February. . But the warmest Valentine’s day on record is 19.1C recorded 21 years ago in Somerset! . . #WednesdayWisdomArchives
